LOOKING to join the sign industry? Opportunity for a bright, enthusiastic trainee to learn a variety of skills within the trade to train in all aspects of design, manufacture and installation.

Signwright Ltd is an independent Surrey sign and graphics company based in the leafy village of Chobham. With over 25 years in the sign industry, with its 10th year in Chobham - the business is a “cottage” industry with the workshop based on our home property with its own access to the rear. The company’s expertise and experience extends to the provision and manufacturing of all types of signage including: – internal and external business signage, vehicle graphics, exhibitions graphics, banners, etc

Skills required:

  • Good communication skills and common sense
  • Enthusiastic to learn the skills of a signmaker
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to work under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to follow a given brief
  • Flexible approach to problem solving
  • Self-motivated, organised and confident
  • Able to work within a team and once competent, on own initiative
  • Prepared to work in all weathers
  • Comfortable with manual labour and working with power tools
  • Occasional working at heights will be involved
  • Upon completion of training, there will be an opportunity to join the company in a permanent role.
  • Training courses will be available for operating powered access equipment and safe erection of scaffold towers.

Initially part time, working towards a full time position of 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm)
Flexibility if required as not all jobs run to schedule

Immediate start. 6-months trial period. Salary negotiable upon age/experience.
