Practical Harvest at Chobham Churches

The churches in Chobham and Valley End always collect a good harvest - but not of the conventional kind.

Secondhand bicycles, text books, writing materials for schools, haberdashery and even old tights have been among the collections in the past.

Andrew and Paul started Brilliant Bikes selling spares and accessories on the Internet five years ago. Now they are opening a shop in Chobham, which is where they live, in the old Flora Lou shop int he High Street, next door to What Nots.

Restoration work has started at Chobham Surgery after the flooding caused by a burst pipe on Sunday June 30th.

Chobham the Future

Chobham has taken the first steps towards creating a Neighbourhood Plan so that local people can have a say about how Chobham will look and function in the future.

The Bunting is out the length of the High Street, the road closure signs are in place, Chobham citizens are being rounded up for stewarding and collecting bucket duty - it can mean only one thing. Chobham Carnival is imminent and preparations are in full spate now for the May Bank Holiday village festivities on Monday 6th May.
